About
Derek has deep roots in northern Colorado. graduating from Colorado State University with a degree in Construction Management. He is also LEED Accredited Professional and a Certified Healthcare Constructor. Derek served as a Project Manager for Saunders Construction, and worked on a variety of projects including the Children’s Hospital Colorado South Campus, Sidney Regional Medical Center, University of Colorado Boulder Center for Community, multiple remodels for SCL Health and Whole Foods, and many more.
Derek’s responsibilities at Saunders Heath include facilitating the involvement of operations staff during preconstruction, overseeing and supporting ongoing construction operations as well as project closeout. He leads these efforts and works to maintain an innovative atmosphere where the team can work together to constantly improve the organization functions. Additionally, he identifies the needs of Saunders Heath project teams and ensures the proper resources are in place to make projects successful.
