High Plains is a new 63,000-square-foot PreK-8th grade complex located on a 14 acre site in Loveland. Housing 590 students, the new STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) school was the first in the Thompson School District to implement the Arts in the STEM model. With sustainability a high priority, High Plains is achieved LEED Gold certification. Several unique features on this environmentally focused 14-acre site include: energy efficient Geo-thermal field, an 870-square-foot green roof to be used as an outdoor learning space, and a multi-purpose sports field also accessible to the community.
