NEW PROJECTS BUILD ON HEATH’S LEGACY IN ESTES PARK

Two new projects showcase grand design and the strength of Heath’s innovative partnership with Saunders Construction.

FORT COLLINS, COLO. – With Heath’s latest projects in Estes Park, the company continues its 25-year campaign to help build economic vitality in the region and polish the Jewel of the Rockies.  A new 48-unit, 3-story luxury hotel will complement the iconic Stanley Hotel, which is located next door and also owned by the Grand Heritage Group.  Echoing the Stanley’s trademark façade with white and red shingles, the new hotel design will include graceful balconies on the second and third floors, where hotel guests will enjoy mountain sunsets and overlook the town below.

In addition to the new hotel, Heath will build a magnificent wedding pavilion for the Grand Heritage Group, also adjacent to The Stanley.  When the new pavilion is completed in 2016, it will add to the Stanley’s appeal as one of the region’s premier wedding locations.

These marquee projects in Estes Park showcase both inspired design and Heath’s new strength as the Northern Colorado building partner of Saunders Construction, a leading Denver contractor.  Saunders acquired a 50% ownership stake in Heath in mid-2014, and since then Saunders has provided infrastructure, training, much-increased bonding capacity and ready manpower to enable Heath to build on its 40-year legacy and grow quickly.

For the projects in Estes Park, Saunders provided crews of carpenters when needed to help accelerate the project – overcoming the region’s current shortage of subcontractors and preventing delay.  In addition, Saunders Superintendent Bruce Fifer is partnering with veteran Heath Superintendent John Raycraft to assist with onsite management and help ensure steady progress.
